Nina Nenova is among the best authors of science-fiction and thrillers in Bulgaria.
A law-school graduate, Nenova is the author of six novels and two collections of short stories. She has won various awards with her short stories and the long short story Was There Another. The Bulgarian National Radio produced a radio serial of hers in the 1990s. In the same period, she was an editor at FEP, an award-winning literary magazine for science-fiction in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Two of her novels have been translated into Russian and published by Olma Press. Her long short story Was There Another was published in Russia by the magazine Esli. Two short stories and a long short story were included in the anthology The Creative Writer in the USA.
Her last novel, The Capital of Latecomers, was published in October 2015 by Amazon Crossing in translation by Vladimir Poleganov.
For the last ten years, Nina Nenova has been living and working in complete isolation. Her contact with the outside world is mediated through her family. She does not give interviews and she does not participate in public events.
